06:41 pm: George!


SO after 2 months of getting out shit together and convincing D, I would like to introduce George! Our new, and huge cat! D guesses he may weigh 22 lbs. He is totally lovey and talks to you all the time, Especially when he wants to be pet. He is totally awesome! and makes it nice to have someone to come home to, especially when D has been working nights lately. We got him at a no-kill cat shelter and then had to take a cab ride home in the midst of cubs traffic. Just think husker football sat, except that it is every day, every other week. Let's just say we don't drive on those days. He has totally adjusted well and gets all the attention that he wants! Love him!

I just heard somebody either coughing up a lung, or puking their guts out. I live on the 6 floor and I don't know where they were. Plus it is 2:45 pm, shouldn't you be done being hung over by now? Ew.

05:39 pm: JOB!!!!
Well, the interview went well. I now have a temp job for at least a couple weeks working for the actual temp company in their accounting dept. doing data entry. At least it is something and will hopefully lead to a permanent position somewhere.

Oh and D and I made a pact that we would start looking for a cat when I got a job. So guess what we are doing tomorrow. Going to a no-kill cat shelter to look for a cat. But we have to find one that is the right temperamant for us, so we are just going to look, unless we find one. Yeah!

I have a job interview tomorrow, and I am extremely nervous. I am going to have to go shopping. I have nothing to wear.

Anybody have any tips for a good interview?

Why do websites use "Cookies" and then when you allow the cookies the website still doesn't show? any help from anyone? PLEASE!!!! I am trying to look at the chicago-web-site-for-auditions/music jobs. the website is www.performink.com. I want to shoot them. I think I am done on the internet for today. I really wanted to throw Dave's laptop because i am so frustrated, but decided to blog about it instead. I think that I need to get off the internet for today. and have a cigarette.

This is the last time I am going to bother you with Dave and I's going away party.

So for the last time, this Saturday at the Spigot, starting of 9. There will be a keg and the husker game will be on.

I hope to see a lot of you there, to at least to say goodbye!

11:44 am: Going Away Party Sat. Oct. 6
Dave and I would like to invite you all to come and drink with us at the Spigot. Dave was reading JAMA (that's the Journal of the American Medical Association) that there is a direct correlation between the amount of alcohol consumed and the size and duration of smiles. Strange but true. It was also true that if you drink off a keg long enough, no matter what your friends tell you, you still cannot dance. This was not in JAMA but I know from personal experience.
There will be free keg (donations are not mandatory but I will beg if I have to) there might be food but that depends on if anyone brings any (we're taking as much with us as we can) and there will be some crying eventually (just a guess but I think it's a good guess). Anyway, come and have fun because if you don't I'll die (not really but if it makes you come then it works).

WE GOT THE APARTMENT!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!



So now the madness starts of packing and getting all our shit ready. Why do I feel like my family is getting rid of all their old kitchen shit? I am not complaining, but my sister and I just went through all her stuff that she didn't want. Hey, but our kitchen is totally outfitted now.

So what is the running rate for rental trucks?

Well, found an apartment in Chicago and it only took 7 hours. The lakeview area, 2 1/2 blocks from the El, and in a nice area. I can see Wrigley field from my windows so parking may be a bitch during the season, but we will deal. As long as the app goes through ok, then we are talking, cuz I don't want to come back and try and look for a new apartment.

I am tired, meandering the streets of Chicago makes my legs hurt.




Oh, and Roxie: I got you a present, couldn't help myself, I think that you will love it!

Looking for apartments in a city you don't really know is very annoying and frustrating.

So if anybody know a good apartment in chicago, 2-3 blocks from an el stop, on the north side, between $700-850, and open in oct. let me know.

Just found out that a former student of mine died in a car accident on mon. She was only 20. She also wasn't one of my favorite students but I would like to think that she was getting her life back on track.

I don't know. Hearing these things just brings back a lot of memories.
